Are Girls Preventing Each Other From Becoming Nude and Practicing Self Love?

Guest Blog by: Patricia Anderson-Peters
Getting Naked and Practicing Self Love:
I am not a naturist. We'll start there. Not for lack of desire to be really, I'd LOVE to be so free and uninhibited, but I've not arrived there yet. Gloomy part isI'm 45 years old. I'm not young either.
So as a read er you might be wondering why I am writing an article for the Naturist Portal website. It is actually because of the condition that I 'm.
An article written by Felicity Jones titled Why Women Should See Other Women's Naked Bodies reminded me of the very first time that I got nude around other women.
It was a religious initiation weekend in Florida and I had worked myself into a dither for days knowing that I would be nakedaround other individuals. Every anxiety I'd carried around for over thirty years was taunting me and my two-kid-later, gravitation challenged breasts merely needed to forget all about it.
When the time arrived and the other women stripped from their clothing, I quite slowly joined them. I was so confident that each and every eye in the place was surveying my my naked body, my stretch marks, my fat rollsand my not so pink and perkies.
In the end, I could not have been more incorrect. We were all just a group of amazingly religious women who had overcome tremendous challenges to get where we were. We body painted one another with colours and symbols that represented our journeys.
If anyone was eyeballing my areolas, wellthey were so covert about it that I simply never knew it.

Where did this fear of becoming naked begin? This body loathing?
It appears to me that it can not be natural to be afraid of your lovers seeing you nude. A lot of women will say that their body dilemmas stem from the media and in the irrational want that men have for the right female form. But looking back, I don't believe that's an entirely accurate appraisal.
Self-image problems and body hate didn't start with how the men around me saw meit actually began with how the women in my life saw me. Girls can function as the most catty creatures on earth in their own amateur years. We judged one another from the way our hair was combed, to the heels we wore.
We snickered at the size of one another's breasts and buttocks, and we whispered behind hands if we couldn't see the light of day between another girl's thighs. Let's be honest, women. It was not the men that did this to us. We did this to each other. Sadder however, we did it all to attempt to gain the approval of one another, not the sexual appreciation of the males around us. Guys do not buy the magazines they date the girls who do.

There are perky breasts, saggy breasts, pink and brown nipples, large and small ones too. There are slender thighs, fat thighs, long and short legs. The anatomical parts and differences list is long and recognized, but it's still simply a list of parts. A woman is more in relation to the sum of her parts. She's heart, she is soul, she is experience, she is fluidity and she's dFKKmic.
If we could learn to appreciate one another more than judging one another, the power that we have together is enough to break the negativity that has defined us for way too long. We need to return to that Red Tent, body painting Soul-Woman admiration of who we are when we stand together, in place of tearing each other apart simply because we can.
More to the point, maybe it's time to take accountability for the fact that it is not the men in our world and it is not the media that's driving this inferior evaluation system that has fostered a generation of eating disordered, emotionally violent women. We did this to our sisters and we did this to ourselves. Perhaps we need to get nude women from your heartsout.
